Our Objectives
1.To promote and instill pride in the history and culture of the Metis people.
2. To educate members with respect to their legal, political, social and other rights.
3. To promote the participation and representation of the Metis people in key political and economic bodies and organizations.
4. To promote the political, legal, social and economic interested and rights of its members.
5. To provide responsible and accountable governance on behalf of the Manitoba Metis community using the Constitution authorities delegated by its members.
The Selkirk Office is a place to receive information on Metis Issues. An abundance of pamphlets with a wide range of departments is available. Membership and Harvester card applications can be obtained.
The office hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.
The meeting date is posted under the title MEETINGS.
The Selkirk Red River Metis Local is non-profit and focuses their efforts on youth in our community.
